#1 — Veselin Borisev: The Pure Ones
19.99 BGN
Every photographer's first shots carry the unique energy of a fresh eye. They are often indicative of his talent as well. Unfiltered photographs - free of creative doubts, other people's eyes, the inevitable criticism and unnecessary delving into theory and technique. The images from Veselin Borishev's "The Pure Ones" were shot in the mid-1990s by the then 27-year-old self-taught photographer in Blagoevgrad and the surrounding area. The negatives of these photographs are irretrievably lost. The only evidence of his first steps in photography are the few worn and torn silver copies that he almost threw away.
He was born in 1967 in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria. He graduated from the National High School for Fine Arts in Sofia. Tempted by photography, he decided to pursue his new passion instead of finishing his art degree. After decades of work in the field of journalism and photography, Veselin Borishev continues not to shy away from being himself - both in life and in photography. As a result, he manages to preserve the authenticity and purity of his vision to this day.
